BRENDAN BENSON - MY OLD FAMILIAR FRIEND KNOWN mainly for his role in Jack White's side project The Raconteurs, many will be surprised to realise this is actually Brendan Benson's fourth solo album. Listening to this collection of quality powerpop, it's hard to see why his previous solo work has gone largely unnoticed; this deserves to change.
IMOGEN HEAP - ELLIPSE WHILST widely acknowledged as the queen of internet promotion - she has three quarters of a million followers on Twitter - widespread commercial success has so far eluded Imogen Heap. Her latest effort is both musically inventive and a joy to listen to, having the potential to bring the British singer/ songwriter greater mainstream success.
