The news that big-name chef Michael Caines was taking over therestaurant at the Bristol Marriott Royal must have sent a shiver downthe spines of the city's top restaurateurs.
Since the closure of Harvey's, Bristol is lacking a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant and the decision by a gastronomicheavyweight like Caines to open in the city immediately raises thestakes.
